Preserving character through thoughtful design

Located on the idyllic island of Sark, we worked on La Moinerie Hotel to enhance the natural beauty of this development through sensitive design.

To the east of the existing hotel, lay a series of unused outbuildings that provided the opportunity for us to create new, high-quality guest cottages and upgrade the hotel’s facilities while preserving its distinctive charm.

Dixcart Hotel

A major refurbishment and extension of an historic hotel

We were engaged to assist with the major refurbishment and extension of Dixcart Hotel, one of Sark’s oldest and most cherished hotels. This project focused on modernising the facilities while preserving the hotel’s unique character, ensuring that its historical charm remained intact.

The comprehensive refurbishment included the addition of new bedrooms, a contemporary restaurant, and upgraded kitchen and bar facilities. Our design approach balanced the need for modern amenities with a respect for the hotel’s heritage, resulting in a harmonious integration of the old and the new.
